Backpack Tubulum Construction
Step 3
Combining Part A and B (continued)
If you look at the bottom, you will see probably the biggest mess up I made on the whole project. You can see I have a funny angle at the bottom, I really intended to just go right into the corners of the frame but I accidentally glued the fittings upside down so I hade to make a fix.
The diagonal members are 1" pipe again. This part is hard to explain how to do and I just don’t have to good of a picture so just bear with me here.

At the bottom of the frame you have to T joints that you put reducers into. You will now need to make an awkward piece to change the direction of the tubing. Looking at this picture at the bottom you can see that that the pipe is pointing straight out on both sides of you. You not only need to change the direction towards the top but you need to do it at an angle. To accomplish this, you will need to buy 2 45 degree angle 1" fittings. First, you will glue one flush to each side on the bottom pointing towards the top. You will then need to glue another one so it directs it to the two end points on the top. You will need to make the same two pieces at the top just this time pointing towards the bottom.
That is a picture of the piece at the top. You need to make two of those for the top and bottom.
That is a side picture, like I said before I messed the bottom up but hopefully it gives you an idea of the pieces you need to make.
As you can see you will want to angle the top up about 30 degrees or so. There is no right or wrong just needs to be above horizontal I believe.
