Well after quite a few weekends of turning my apartment into a shop, the high-range PVC instrument is near completion. 22 out of the 28 total pipes are tuned and in place on the frame. All I have left to do is decide the last 6 notes and give the frame a black, spraypainted finish. I may add clear, blacklight-activated spraypaint to the pipes eventually.

All pipe is 3" diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe. The bends are made with 90 degree and 45 degree elbows. I have yet to experiment with mic'ing, but it looks as though it will take 2 to 3 microphones to get an even balance of sound.

Instructions may be up as early as January, but I do still need to get the tubulum instructions done. I'll do my best to get both of them done soon. The note arrangement for the instrument will be up sometime this week most likely. If you want to dig into building one, don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail with questions/concerns. Good luck!
